The Fallout - Casualty
01:30
|
|||
They burst in
Stop and stare
Feel the burn
The flame flares
Kicked in the head
Bloody gash
Floor turns red
You’re fading fast
Casualty
Freedom’s a casualty
Tried to recall
A better time
The downfall
The highest climb
The sun dawns
Day breaks
Your freedom
What they take
|
||||
15. |
||||
On the first day
To god you prayed
Washed your sins away
Your soul was saved
And on the second
He pretended
power descended
From heaven
I think it was the third
Or so I heard
I know for sure
It’s all disturbed
And came the fourth
You still weren’t cured
But even more absurd
You praise the Lord
As a matter of fact
It’s a matter of faith
Purchase miracles for sale
Your salvation
A small donation
Purchase miracles for sale

LYRICS
Listen up. We got a warzone here today
Right in our heartland and across the USA
These multinational bastards don't use tanks and guns its true
but they've declared a war on us fight back its up to you
CHORUS :
Oh its a war on the workers (War on the workers)
Oh its a war on the workers (War on the workers)
Oh its a war on the workers and its time we started calling the shots
Going to work could be the death of you and me
But we're not unarmed. Our weapon's solidarity
Jim Beals and Karen Silkwood. The list goes on and on
With every year that passes 60, 000 more are gone
[CHORUS]
When they boost your co-pay (war on the workers)
Don't you know what to say? (war on the workers)
When they talk privatization (war on the workers)
And co-operation (war on the workers)
When they call you "a team" (war on the workers)
You'd better learn how to scream (war on the workers)
[CHORUS]
They can lock us out, they can lock us up. We cannot give in
No more lies, no compromise! We'll battle til we win!
[CHORUS]
When they talk "flexibility" (war on the workers)
every working stiff can see (war on the workers)
When they poison your water (war on the workers)
Don't go like lambs to the slaughter (war on the workers)
When they foul up the air (war on the workers)
You've gotta show that you care (war on the workers)
When they talk WTO (war on the workers!)
We should be screaming HELL NO! (war on the workers)
Oh its a war on the workers (War on the workers)
Oh its a war on the workers (War on the workers)
Oh its a war on the workers
Its a war on public education
its a war on child labor protection
its a war on the eight hour day
its a war on occupational health and saftey
its a war on social security
Now thanks to WTO, GATT, NAFTA, MAI, the IMF and the World Bank
it's a world wide war
Oh its a war on the workers (War on the workers)
yeah its a war on the workers (War on the workers)
Oh its a war on the workers
and its time sisters and brothers
you know its time right now,
I said its time we started calling the shots

Ils marchent ensemble
Sans se séparer
L'union fait la force
Chez les ouvriers
Sur tous les chantiers
Le coeur plein d'espoir
L'espoir de changer
Cette société
Oh ils ont lutté
Et ils ont crié
Ils ont avancé
Souvent les premiers
Le drapeau au vent
L'espoir en chantant
Les coudes se serrant
Et maîtres du temps
Oh ils ont crié "solidarité"
De toutes leurs cités
Jusqu'à l'Elysée
Stop à la machine
On veut travailler
Personne ne les a vraiment écoutés
Oh ils ont aimé la révolution
Mais ils ont perdu toutes leurs illusions
Le vent a tourné
Balayant leurs idées
Et ils sont restés
Seuls, les poings serrés
Laï, laï, laï
Ils marchaient ensemble
Sans se séparer
Comme un coeur qui bat
Dans la société
Ils sont morts ensemble
Sans se retourner
Lorsque leurs usines
Se sont arrêtées
Laï, laï, laï
Si tous leurs espoirs
Se sont envolés
Si toutes leurs usines
Se sont arrêtées
Et si la machine
Les a sacrifiés
Un coeur ne peut pas se remplacer…
Laï, laï, laï
Ils marchaient ensemble
Sans se séparer
Comme un coeur qui bat
Dans la société
Ils sont morts ensemble
Sans se retourner
Lorsque leurs usines
Se sont arrêtées
Laï, laï, laï

Ahora estamos desorganizados
Sin unidad o en sindicatos blancos
Es hora de abrir los ojos
Y tomar los medios de producción
Organizados en una sola clase
Sin religiones ni miedo a sus dioses
Codo a codo los trabajadores
Construiremos un mundo mejor
FRENCH
Nous avons été exploités pendant des siècles
Nous sommes pauvres et prolétaires
Notre existence est le produit
Du système capitaliste
Nous construisons la richesse avec nos mains
Les propriétaires des entreprises nous la volent
Ils ne nous laissent que les miettes
qu’ils veulent bien nous donner
Une classe, une seule tranchée
Révolution de la classe ouvrière
Aujourd’hui nous sommes désorganisés
Sans unité ou dans des syndicats soc-dem
Il est temps s’ouvrir les yeux
Et de prendre les moyens de production
Organisés en une seule classe
Sans religions, ni peur de leurs dieux
Coudes serrés, les travailleurs
Nous construirons un monde meilleur
ENGLISH
We’ve been exploited for centuries
We are the poor and the proletariat
Our existence is a product
Of the capitalist system
We build wealth with our hands
While the business owners steal it
Leaving us only crumbs that they are happy to give us
One class, one trench
Working class revolution
We’re not organized today
Without unity or in social democratic unions
It is time that we open our eyes
And seize the means of production
Organized into a single class
Without religion, without fear of their gods
Arm in arm, workers
We will build a better world

Don’t care about the Bob Dylan you quote
Books you’ve read or poems you wrote
I see suffering I see no hope
The times have never changed
That’s what drove Phil Ochs insane
The times have never changed
Protest songs of ’67
Against a war you never ended
All that posing and pretending
The times have never changed
That’s what drove Phil Ochs insane
The times have never changed
The more things change
The more they stay the same
Happens time and time and time again
All I know for sure is we have endless, endless war
The times have never changed
One thing I don’t understand
From Iraq to Afghanistan
It just keeps happening again and again
The times have never changed
That’s what drove Phil Ochs insane
The times have never changed

The Fallout - Set Us Up
02:49
|
|||
Dead eyes with a cold blank stare
Black heart doesn’t feel or care
Driven only by market share and a need to survive
Figure heads full of shit and lies
When are we gonna realize
We don’t have any rights if we don’t organize
Set us up, set us up just to knock us down
Gotta run, gotta run run you out of town
Gotta gotta gotta gotta get rid of you
There’s only one thing left to do
Gotta gotta gotta gotta get rid of you
Profits first and people last
Take advantage of the working class
Hysteria created en masse to conquer and divide
Lapdog with authority
A governing minority
Save money through austerity so viscous and bile
Some day we’ll finally see
Damage and depravity
We’ll drag you through the streets as you beg for mercy
In the rubble and the decay
As your system fades away
We’ll rebuild the ash and clay in solidarity

No tengo duda estoy convencido

It’s a tired old story when times are harsh
The racists and fascists go on the march
With twisted faces and ideas
Misplaced anger, ignorance and fear
They go for easy targets and never aim high
Believing all the bullshit and swallowing all the lies
Yeah they can shout loud but they’ve nothing to say
Just the same old bigotry that never goes away
Repackaged as radical, new and improved
But so many times it’s been proved
They’ve got nothing to offer but division and hate
And power and strength to the nation state
CH:
Raised fists antifascists help the fightback spread
And the only good fascist is one that is dead
Militants in resistance we know our enemies
And we know that our best weapon is solidarity
Police and fascists march side by side
It’s always been the way, it can’t be denied
Waving batons or St George crosses
They’re working for the rich and the same bosses
So there’s plenty of violence to protect “Free speech”
For the fascist scum and the filth they preach
Their “right to protest” is always ensured
While antifascists feel the force of the law
CH:
Liberals without a clue
Trying to tell “the movement” what to do
Follow the leaders from a to b
And let’s pretend we got unity
Stirring speeches keep people still
As designated protest pens get filled
Miles from the fascists behind police rails
Playing it safe and doomed to fail
We know that fighting fascism means sometimes we have to fight
Not pacified, dead end demos where everything is so polite
It’s not about being macho, elite or super tough
But a look at the history of fascism should tell us enough
It’s confidence and strength will grow if it is unopposed
So with barricades and whatever it takes we’ll make sure their road is closed
Wherever they start we have to stop them to make sure they have no chance
There’s many ways to beat the fascists and push back their advance
We’ll never accept the rise of the right or fascists on our streets
And we won’t follow leaders on the long road to defeat
In memory of fallen comrades we will never forget
Nor do we forgive so our rage is fuelled to destroy the fascist threat

Separation, exploitation
You can justify anything
When every living thing's at our disposal
And you think the human race is king
Property, authority, hierarchy
Lies at the root of it all
But from where you think you're stood on top of the world
There's a very long way to fall
Objectification, severed relations
Numbers replace lives
Mass torture, cruelty, abuse and slaughter
Are neatly normalised
CH:
Categorised as commodities
Legitimises the atrocities
Ringing any bells from history?
Let's fight like hell for all to be free
Domination, subjugation
Ours is the loudest voice
But what makes our species really stand out
Is it's capacity to destroy
Domestication, annihilation
For fun, food, profit and science
Unquestioning acceptance
Of horrific daily violence
CH:
It's not up to us how other animals should behave
We've got no place to control or to enslave
What makes you think that you can decide their worth
Their lives, their conditions, their death and their birth?
Why do you accept that human progress and gains
means inflicting so much misery, suffering and pain?
The slaughterhouse, the zoo and the laboratory cage
Must be demolished and abolished with all our rage
But we can't stop there because there's so much more
Total liberation is what we're fighting for

A lavoro sottopagato
Ogni giorno pura agonia
Gelida questa notte d’inverno
I demoni ti invitano all’inferno
Prendimi e portami via da qua
Finche il sole ci riabbraccerà
Han rubato il tuo futuro
Vorresti andar dritto contro il muro
Non farti ingabbiare resta ribelle
Esci dal fango punta alle stelle
È un cantico dei condannati
Sogni svaniti e cassa integrati

Raise your flag, Raise it high
Let them look you in the eye
Side by side
Show your pride
Wave your flag, wave your flag
Raise your flag, Raise it high
And when they look you in the eye
Wave your flag, wave your flag, wave your flag
Double standards of the hypocrites
They condescend as you bite your lip
You’re in my heart
You’re on my mind
You don’t have to take that shit
On the horizon is a new frontier
If you feel alone or you’re getting scared
With all your spirit
And all your soul
You know there is nothing to fear
Sing if you’re glad to be gay
Homophobes are just a dying breed
As they cling to an illegitimate creed
You’re in my heart
You’re on my mind
They offer nothing that you can believe
All their hate they never take a rest
Stunning ignorance takes away your breath
With all your spirit
And all your soul
Resolve that you’ll never forget
To sing if you’re happy that way.

But did ya know around the world they’ve locked up about 10 million people?
You might not have known but that just changed don’t confuse this for justice just cruel and insane
But to those among us that know and are raising hell to free them
Fight for the sun my bold friends, fight for the sun this night will end. I promise...
Fight for the sun my bold friends, fight for the sun this night will end Fight for the sun fight for the sun fight for the sun it’s coming
We might look different but we’re all the same in that we all need to move and feel love to stay sane
But our cruel species withholds these rights from 25 Billion creatures
How many years cutting day and night would it take to sever that much chain?
You need to help what will it take to get you all to see this!?
I wait they wait when is it coming? Don’t wait, they wait you must bring the sun.

Remember all those nights
Of drinking and partying
All those dreams we had
Of freedom and liberty
Sticking together
Like brothers and sisters
Like husband and wife
Until death tore us appart
I'll be your friend until the end of time
I'll have your back and you'll have mine
After few long years
We still stand together
The dreams still burn
Deep inside of us
In every fight we start
Side by side never alone
Helping each other our
Trying to make life better
I'll be your friend until the end of time
I'll have your back and you'll have mine
We always stand strong
Always there for each other
Like iron chain
Nothing can break us apart
I'll be there to help you
Whenever your down
Always true and strong
In our hearts we will never give up yeah!
I'll be your friend until the end of time
I'll have your back and you'll have mine

A cold winters day provides a fertile ground
amongst the grey lack of colour that surrounds
there is a storm brewing in the stomach of the south
they are active, they are active – its time to rat them out
We have the shovel and power to dig their grave
for this has not gone unnoticed, not ever, not today
how foolish? intimidation techniques
wont work, haven’t worked, we wont admit defeat.
The fascist threat wont gain an inch Your days are numbered, We will defeat you
Anti-fascist through and through
Frustration and disgust as I bleed as I itch
the cranial pressure accelerates inch by inch
as moments passed has time slipped away?
This energy will be stored deep inside of me
We have the shovel and power to dig their grave
Frustration and disgust as I bleed as I itch
the mental pressure accelerates inch by inch

Between killing, drinking or shouting I’ve decided to fight for my dignity They’ve humiliated my class Time for revenge has finally arrived
CHORUS
Welfare is not enough Landlords won’t accept credit It’s a return to underemployment Precariousness enriches them
Unions do nothing Infected with bureaucracy The power of the bosses spreads The more we scratch, the more rot we find

Fascism is back in style
Italy celebrates its Duce
Nothing will erase this sad period.
The Nazi regime is settled in
The army is revolting in Spain.
Following the Italian example
Catholics have sold out
Reactionary forces are united.
No, they will not pass, we will not let them pass
No, we will not back down, we will not back down
The people rise up
To face the fascist threat
They make their dreams reality
Anarchists and socialists
In Catalonia the lands are collectivized
Factories are self-organized
Borders are pushed back
Theory is put into practice
No, they will not pass, we will not let them pass
No, we will not back down, we will not back down (x2)
The fascists are united
German planes mark the skies
They want to put down the popular uprising
Exile in the north becomes necessary
The struggle is international
France is invaded by Hitler
Our experience becomes crucial
The first resistors take root.

Fuck you! You racist shit, I don't need your point of view I've had enough of it. Your backwards way of thinking your misconceived thoughts, you're the fuckin' problem in your narrow minded world. You single out an entire race, you judge them when it's not your place. We need to fuckin' educate a new generation 'cos fear breeds hate.
Fuck your racist shit, There's no place left for it.
We need to fight these fascists down for once and all!
Oi Oi Oi
Refugees and immigrants, what's your fuckin' problem with...
they're only wanting to make a better life, for their families, is that a crime? You think they don't deserve a chance, well I think you're just ignorant. You're no better than anyone else and if you can't see that then you fuckin' need help!
You hide behind your wall of hate, any excuse to discriminate.
blame anyone else for your problems, well being a bigot won't fuckin solve them. Stereotypes and political views are the tools that you use, to hide the fact set in stone, you're a racist piece of fucking scum.
Fuck your racist shit, There's no place left for it.
We need to beat these fascists down for once and all!
Oi Oi Oi
So take a stand, get off the fence, let these boneheads we've no tolerance. Keep our scene anti-fascist and re-claim Oi for the working classes!

You made an oath to enforce the law, to serve and protect us one and all. A pillar of the community, fuck you pig you sicken me.
I just cannot understand how they don't see what they're doing,
they try to control us in every way, "Fuck the Police!" is what I say.
I don't want to live under their control,
In fear of punishment by their laws,
Pawns put in place to protect a corrupt state,
the Gardi Siochana's what their called, Police is Cops!
How come the rules don't apply to you, ha? No speed limit for the boys in blue, you harass and beat the innocent, the rules apply as you see fit. You support a minority of politicians who rule our majority, it's our vote but there isn't much of a choice. You're driving a wedge in the social divide.
They intimidate they rely on fear, to control the masses riot gear,
water cannons and barricades, armored vans we'll have our say.

And if I found a way to walk away, well where then what would I be?
I’d be useless to you and worse to me and I don’t get any better on self-pity
I don’t get anything else just this bit of time so I, I, I, I
I’d like to help you up, I’ve got power to spare
Don’t believe for a second that there’s no one else there
I’ve got enough for you even in the depths of my despair
I will help you up, I’ve got power to spare
I feel the same way towards everything from a tiny worm to a leaning tree
I love the underdog every time I’m not sure why or what it means
Inequities in power compel me to try and overwhelming odds are when I thrive
I’m not happy just on my game and one more time I’ll try to explain

It’s a world of peace and a world of love
But it’s so hard to believe in what this world has become
Some of us will cope where others fail
While all the bankers get out, they get out on bail
A soldier sets out to war
What’s he really fighting for?
Build the rockets, line the pockets
For the next generation of the money whores
Hang on to hope to no avail
Hang on to everything because it’s all up for sale
Well you know what’s right & you know what’s wrong
So tell me what is going on?
Well you know what’s right and you know what’s wrong
So tell me what is going on
It’s the addiction & it don’t belong
So tell me what’s been going on
Hold the power, harness the greed
Wealth will come from growing the seed
Build the rockets, line your pockets for the distribution of the chicken feed
Hang on to hope to no avail
Hang onto everything because it’s all up for sale

Is it wrong to wanna have resolution
Am I gone because I talk about revolution
Have we become split apart from our very own evolution
Am I alone all by myself in a solitary institution
Is it fair to be left out there
Out in the cold
You stand tall when you get the call
but you’re getting old
Everything bought and everything taught
Well it’s all been sold
I have to say we’ve lost our way
And still got miles to go
And I wait for the day to start again

Can't shake the feeling we've been here before
If I could just get closer to the door
Does anyone else feel the need to scream
Now we've spent two hours on the colour scheme
So, twelve more items we've got to discuss
Well if this is anarchy, what's the fuss?
Trapped in meetings without no end
Talking round in circles, going round the bend
But stay Calm! Reality check! What the fuck did you expect?
There's no short cuts and time flies, learning to self organize
With no leaders we have equal say, we're trying a different way
My time disappears clearing other people's mess
I'd get a "proper job" if I needed this stress
If we really want to see the collapse of the state
We're gonna have to learn to wash our own plate
Of doing battle with the chaos I've had my quota
And there has to be life beyond the rota
And why if we're so many and they are few
Are our sub-collectives made up of two?
But here's kids coming through the door
They say they've never been in before
They've heard about the place and like the idea
Right up for it, they wanna volunteer
So much to do but our time we'll give
Working together in collectives
Sometimes it seems we can never agree
And it doesn't look good for our autonomy
All the hours we have spent in stupid, pointless arguments
Oh no, here we go, it's kicking off again
This bickerings driving me insane
Egos clash and ideas collide
It's easy to forget we're on the same side
But there's friends for life who'll meet up here
And many more who'll lose their fear
No more living in isolation
Building trust and co-operation
An open space to communicate
No limits to what we can create
Our city's dominated by corporate shit
Everywhere they're getting away with it
Every last corner privatised
Dragging us down with high rise
More supermarkets and luxury flats
To line the pockets of the fat cats
And we're priced out and pushed aside
Then they whinge about why has the community died
But this place is for everyone
We've seen what can be done
With nothing but our energy
Ideas and strength of community
Giving for free as much as we can
This is where we make our stand

A song for the brave all across the world living under attack
They’ve seen too much and suffered too long but still they’re fighting back
In slavery there’s no justice so they’re breaking their chains
They say they’ve got very little to lose and a world to reclaim
Tired of crippling poverty and living on their knees
They’re taking back control of their lives in the face of tyranny
Generals smile as they make a deal, the guns they buy are the best
They’re drawing up plans to crush these rebels helped by friends from The West
Business booms for the industry, they arm dictators well
No questions asked so far removed from the genocide they sell
So another village is razed to the ground as company profits rise
Robbed from the poor and paid in blood by people brutalised
But in time of violence there are those who break the silence
They refuse to be victims any more
For the words they dare to speak and the justice that they seek
Their voices can no longer be ignored
The freedom fighters’ struggle is hard, they’ve been fighting for a while
Murderers in the highest places who never stand on trial
Some fight with words, some fight with guns, so many of them have died
Calling out for basic human rights the system denies
But the murders and the atrocities won’t stifle the people’s dreams
They long for a time of peace and no more terrorist regimes
Liberty will not be given, it’s a thing that must be won
And the people will dance again when the soldiers have gone
Go!
All strength to the freedom fighters wherever they may be
For the chains that they have dared to break they’re already running free
In a time of violence there are those who break the silence
They refuse to be victims any more
For the words they dare to speak and the justice that they seek
Their voices can no longer be ignored

I want to think that normal is beautiful
I want the things that I can do to be enough for me
I want some truth in the way we act and feel
Not reflections of the way that we think that we should be
I want back everything you stole
I want everyone to see that this is so hollow
I’ll peel your talons back you’ve lost this one now let me go
All we want is to be left alone
Since I could see I’ve been led to believe
That perfect is attainable in the way we look and feel
My expectations from greeting to goodbye
Are tainted by feelings that they’re not what they should be
The idea that it’s really not so bad
depends on how you define survive
If we looked inside we’d probably find hey we’re alright
All we want is to be left alone
Don’t mistake my desire to avoid you
for some kind of pacifist stance
When I figure out what the fuck and how
I’ll come across the table and tear you down
Your brutal shot begins each day
rancid starlight sucks my will away
glossy pages another perverse faith
All we want is to be left alone

by Leon Rosselson
In 1649 To St. George's Hill,
A ragged band they called the Diggers
Came to show the people's will
They defied the landlords
They defied the laws
They were the dispossessed reclaiming what was theirs
We come in peace they said
To dig and sow
We come to work the lands in common
And to make the waste ground grow
This earth divided We will make whole
So it will be a common treasury for all
The sin of property
We do disdain
No man has any right to buy and sell the earth for private gain
By theft and murder
They took the land
now everywhere the walls spring up at their command
They make the laws
To chain us well
The clergy dazzle us with heaven
Or they damn us into hell
We will not worship
The God they serve
The God of greed who feeds the rich
While poor men starve
We work we eat together
We need no swords
We will not bow to the masters
Or pay rent to the lords
Still we are free men
though we are poor
You Diggers all stand up for glory Stand up now
From the men of property
The orders came
They sent the hired men and troopers
To wipe out the Diggers' claim
Tear down their cottages
Destroy their corn
They were dispersed but still the vision lingers on
You poor take courage
You rich take care
This earth was made a common treasury for everyone to share
All things in common
All people one
We come in peace the orders came to cut them down
